With a budget of more than 18 million euro, the project will meet the technological needs of more than a thousand health care centres in the region. All the IT facilities will be renewed in four years, and the whole regional health care system will have a network of electronic media functioning at all times.
MÁLAGA. 25/07/2008.- The temporary joint venture formed by Novasoft and Telvent awarded an ambitious tender for the Public Health Service of Castilla La Mancha (Sescam) regarding the design, renewal and modernization of the IT facilities and infrastructure of all the regional health care centres. The project, that will have a duration of four years, will cost slightly more than 18.1 million euro and will create fifty new jobs.
The Project, that has been called ‘Ábrego’, has two important aspects. On the one hand, the renewal and increase of the regional health care centres’ IT facilities. These centres will benefit from the most modern management tools (state of the art Networks, PCs, touch screens, digital signage …), so the whole regional health care network will move ahead with the Information Society in equal conditions. In total, 883 health care points in the five Manchegan provinces (190 health care centres and 693 local clinics) will be updated, thus covering the population with access to primary health care facilities.
On the other hand, along with the equipment and the supply of material and Networks, the health care centres will be equipped with infrastructure support of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Such support will be serviced under the ITIL methodology (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and will handle incidents at three levels: through 24x7 telephone support, through software technical control and through hardware technical control. This support includes the creation of a Customer Help Desk, which headquarters will be in Toledo and that will handle all the incidents, and the creation of 49 jobs related to the functions exposed above.
