Once the first Quality Management certificates are obtained, self-evaluation following the EFQM Model becomes necessary in order to continue progressing in the continuous improvement and management of Total Quality.
Novasoft has adapted and included the EFQM Excellence Model in its business management, and it has been working on this line for a long time. The concepts defined by this working method are:
- The search for and optimization of excellent business management.
- Continuous guidance and knowledge of the needs and satisfaction of groups of interest.
- Adapting to the changes in the environment/market, thus getting ahead of the competition.
Novasoft´s Cronology in the EFQM Model:
In 1999 the first self-evaluation was carried out and where the first strong points and areas for improvement were detected. Novasoft competed for the Príncipe Felipe Prize this year, thus beginning a consolidated process of applying the EFQM Excellence Model.
In 2000 Novasoft continued with the process of applying the Model and received the I Andalusian Business Excellence Prize.
In 2001, Francisco Barrionuevo, Novasoft chairman, was named by member companies the first President of the Board of Associated Bodies of the Andalusian Centro for Manangement Excellence. The same year Novasoft became a EFQM Excellence Model licensee and became a member of the Quality Management Club and the EFQM National Partner Organisation and ontained PERFIL Evaluation License from the same organization.
In 2002 Novasoft developed the "Excelencia" application, a tool for selfevaluation of organizations following the EFQM Excellence Model which allows the carrying out of “on line” benchmarking activities. Four directors belong to the Andalusian Centre´s Quality Management Club and take part in external evaluations for other prizes (Aragon Excellence Prize). Novasoft was nominated in the Industrial Quality category of the VII Príncipe Felipe Business Excellence Prize.
In 2008 Novasoft obtained the Príncipe Felipe Business Excellence Prize in the Industrial Quality category.
Novasoft has wanted to differentiate its good management and, for this reason, it adapts in all areas to the REDER philosophy of continuous improvement based on criteria of excellence.
Novasoft has possessed since 2009 the European Seal of Excellence 400+ which recognizes the maturity of its level of management in relation with the EFQM Model. This is a European recognition of the EFQM which is in line with recognition of National excellence and which places value on Novasoft´s compromise with its customers, employees, society and the achievement of business results in continuous progress.
